Hastings Mutual Insurance Company

Hastings Mutual Insurance Company is a multi-line property and casualty insurance carrier serving individuals, farms, and commercial enterprises from its headquarters in Hastings, Michigan since 1885. Hastings Mutual decided to retire its existing claims system in order to gain greater flexibility in its claims operation and take advantage of new technology. Hastings Mutual selected Guidewire ClaimCenter as its new claims processing system for all lines of business including: personal and commercial auto; homeowners and mobile homeowners; farmowners and farm liability; businessowners, commercial fire, general liability, and CPP; dwelling fire, personal and commercial umbrella; inland marine and workers' compensation.

At Hastings Mutual, ClaimCenter integrates to a mainframe-based policy system, a check processing system, a medical bill review service provider, and other external systems. ClaimCenter has been deployed on the Windows 2000 Server operating system and with the Microsoft SQL Server database management system. Hastings Mutual has been in production with ClaimCenter since May, 2004.
