Guidewire Software Names Craig Ramsey to Board of Directors
Former EVP of Worldwide Sales at Siebel Systems to Guide Next Phase of Company Growth
SAN MATEO, CA, January 4, 2005 - Guidewire Software®, a leading provider of solutions to property and casualty and workers' compensation insurers, today announced the appointment of Craig Ramsey to Guidewire Software's Board of Directors. The appointment is effective immediately and provides Guidewire with the decades of leadership and experience Mr. Ramsey has gained in multiple leading enterprise software companies.
A 35-year veteran of the technology industry, Mr. Ramsey most recently served as executive vice president of worldwide sales for Siebel Systems. While at Siebel, he oversaw the company's sales growth from $4 million in revenues to more than $1.5 billion. Prior to Siebel, Mr. Ramsey was vice president of U. S. Sales at Oracle Corporation. He previously held positions at Amdahl, IBM, and other high-technology software and hardware companies. Besides Guidewire, Mr. Ramsey currently sits on the boards of Salesforce.com and ArcSight.
