Guidewire Named 2007 InsureTopTech "Overall Winner"

Based on "Voice of the Market" survey conducted by Insurance Networking News and Financial Insights, Guidewire named Overall Winner and is rated top vendor in four of nine award categories

ORLANDO, FL, May 21, 2007 - From the ACORD LOMA Insurance Systems Forum, Guidewire Software®, a leading provider of solutions to property and casualty and workers' compensation insurers, today announced that it has been named "Overall Winner" and top vendor in four of nine award categories in the 2007 "InsureTopTech: Voice of the Insurance Market" survey results announced by Insurance Networking News and Financial Insights.

In addition to being named "Overall Winner", Guidewire was also recognized as the top vendor in the following categories: Most Adds Value; Up-and-Coming; Keep the Business Operating, and Help Provide Quality Customer Care. The company also placed second in the Help Develop/Enhance Products category.

"We appreciate all of the insurance company representatives who took part in this survey and extend our congratulations to Guidewire for the recognition that they have received from the industry," said Barry Rabkin, senior research analyst, Insurance practice, Financial Insights, an IDC Company.

The InsureTopTech survey was conducted by analyst firm, Financial Insights, an IDC Company, and Insurance Networking News magazine. The "Voice of the Market" survey evaluated all hardware, software, and service providers in the insurance industry, with results exclusively driven by insurance companies in the United States and Canada who ranked their experiences with insurance technology providers across several categories. The InsureTopTech rankings were determined by qualified users of technology applications through a large sampling of insurance technology users via an online survey and subsequent analysis by Financial Insights, an IDC company.

"Congratulations to all of the technology vendors that have been recognized in the "Voice of the Market" survey results and we especially congratulate Guidewire on their top honors," adds Holli Gronset, Associate Publisher, Insurance Networking News. "We thank all of the insurance carriers who completed the survey and thank Financial Insights for spearheading the survey, data collection, and analysis. We are confident that Insurance Networking News' readers will benefit from the objective and analytical research and survey results."

"This is a tremendous honor and a big day for Guidewire. The InsureTopTech recognition is especially gratifying since the awards are determined strictly based on the input from insurance companies," said Jeff Simpson, chairman and chief executive officer, Guidewire Software. "Since our inception Guidewire's goals have consistently focused on providing the best products and delivering them to the best of our ability – to not just meet, but to exceed, our customers' expectations. We extend our thanks to Financial Insights, Insurance Networking News, and especially to our customers for this recognition."
