Guidewire Software Recruits Faugère to Drive European Insurer Growth Strategy
Appointment of senior executive indicative of growing demand for Guidewire’s products in Europe
SAN MATEO, Calif., June 8, 2009 – Guidewire Software®, a global provider of core system solutions to general insurers, has announced the appointment of Olivier Faugère, as Vice President, Sales, for Europe. The move is a key part of Guidewire’s plan to expand the company’s European market presence and extend its commitment to serving the technology needs of the region’s general insurers.
Faugère, who brings extensive experience in the field of sales and business development, will be responsible for Guidewire’s European operations and business development efforts. Additionally, Faugère will strengthen relationships with Guidewire’s partners in the region, including BearingPoint, Capgemini, Ernst & Young and IBM, among others. Guidewire plans to expand its operations in the UK, France and Germany, where the company has offices, in response to the growing demand for its products.

Faugère brings to Guidewire many years experience in the management of EMEA sales operations, in particular, the sale of software and consulting services for U.S. companies into the region. He most recently served as Vice President EMEA Retek Inc., and Vice President of Sales at i2 Technologies (Supply Chain Management). He has an MBA in Business Administration at the IAE Aix-en-Provence.
