Germany’s  “Allgemeiner Deutsche Automobil-Club“  (ADAC), headquartered in Munich, is Europe's largest and the world’s second largest automobile club, with more than 18 million members. Its key service offerings include roadside assistance and towing services provided by the ADAC Road Patrol and its road service partners and ambulance service. ADAC has selected Guidewire ClaimCenter® as its new core IT system to support its roadside and medical support processes.

ADAC has selected Guidewire ClaimCenter as its core component for the ADAC roadside and medical assistance process, following a lengthy evaluation process and a proof-of-concept based on some key business requirements. Being at the very heart of the ADAC service offering, the Guidewire system is envisioned to replace a number of legacy applications in the course of the project, and possibly will be extended to other business functions in subsequent project phases. The project will be executed by a joint team of Guidewire and ADAC staff at the ADAC headquarters in Munich, Germany, whereby the ADAC team consists of members from both business and various IT functions. ADAC expects to improve its flexibility and transparency in the roadside and medical assistance process, and will establish with the Guidewire system one of the foundations for the future system landscape according to the ADAC IT strategy.
