Recruiting Fraud Alert

Recruiting Fraud Alert

UPDATE: We first warned of a recruiting scam back in December 2016, in which some people were being fraudulently contacted for Guidewire job interviews or received alleged job offers from our company through online platforms such as Google Hangouts or via advertisements on Facebook. We have since learned that not only is this scam still in full swing (despite our best efforts to help shut it down), it has affected several people who have shared personal information with these fraudulent scammers. In some cases, this has led to losses. We are very sorry that this has happened.

It is important to know that this scam has nothing to do with our company. We are very concerned about its impact to our reputation however, and are doing all we can to stop it. This is a known scam which started in 2015 and has impacted other individuals and companies. You can read about it here.

What we can tell you: As a rule, Guidewire does not place recruiting advertisements on Facebook, nor do we contact individuals or conduct interviews via Google Hangouts. A legitimate Guidewire recruiter will never ask you to pay any money or send you a check to purchase any equipment or training to secure a job with our company.

What you can do: If you believe you have been contacted by a potentially fraudulent representative of our company as part of this scam or you aren’t sure and want to talk with us about it, please contact us at careers@guidewire.com. If you are interested in working at Guidewire, we encourage you to view our legitimate Careers site: https://careers.guidewire.com/ and apply for a position through this site.
