Who?

Drivy is the leading marketplace for car rentals in Europe. The service enables each user to rent a car from someone within walking distance of the renter’s home whenever needed—whether to go away for a weekend, attend a business meeting, or organize a move. The service includes comprehensive insurance coverage. Vehicle owners can also rent out their vehicles on the website.

What do you need to know?

Drivy provides a full mobile experience, from booking a car to check-in and check-out, and has recently launched Drivy Open, a technology that enables users to open cars with their smartphones and carry out self-service rentals.

Step 1: Complete the rental car details online or on a mobile device.

Step 2: Select a vehicle.

Step 3: Book and unlock the vehicle with your smartphone.

Currently Drivy is operational in London, France, Germany, Austria, Belgium, and Spain. It’s not operational in the United States or Canada … yet.

Insurance is included in the rental price. It’s taken out automatically, without the owner or the driver having to complete an additional application.

Drivy’s insurance covers accidents (damage to property and personal injury), fire, and theft. In addition, there is a 24/7 roadside assistance service that takes care of the vehicle and passengers in the event of an accident or breakdown.

The insurance is provided by Allianz.
