MACIF and Guidewire (NYSE: GWRE) announced that MACIF, one of France's leading mutual insurance companies, has successfully launched a new homeowner insurance service on Guidewire Cloud Platform. The new line of business, which represents MACIF's second-largest book of business after auto insurance, marks a significant milestone in the insurer's digital transformation journey.
MACIF homeowner insurance leverages Guidewire Cloud Platform capabilities including core applications PolicyCenter and ClaimCenter, which MACIF previously deployed on-premises for their auto insurance line of business. MACIF's investment reflects broader strategic objectives to strengthen their position in the French insurance market through digital innovation and operational efficiency.
A key component of MACIF's success has been the implementation of Guidewire's Jutro Digital Platform, which has accelerated the development and deployment of their digital portal capabilities. Jutro provides MACIF with enhanced tools to deliver modern, responsive customer experiences while reducing development complexity and time-to-market.
Other developments over the past 12 months include:
- Guidewire Niseko release: Update of the Guidewire Cloud Platform to ensure MACIF benefits from the features of the Niseko release;
- Mobility portfolio: successful data migration of MACIF portfolio to Guidewire Cloud Platform;
- DARVA: Implementation of the DARVA connector with Guidewire Cloud Platform, enabling smoother exchange of insurance claims between insurance carriers;
- Guidewire Early Access: MACIF continues to benefit from the Guidewire Early Access (EA) Program, which allows selected customers to evaluate and provide feedback on new capabilities before their general release.
