It’s an extraordinary moment for property and casualty insurance – and for all of us who’ve dedicated our careers to this industry.

This is the dawn of intelligent insurance, an era that is defined by AI-powered transformation. It’s a fundamental shift that transcends every function in our industry, from increasing efficiency for underwriters and claims teams to reimagining how we define and price products. This transformation is powered by Guidewire’s trusted P&C insurance platform and enhanced with AI tailored to the insurance industry, an engine designed to drive collaborative innovation across our community.

This morning at Connections, Guidewire CEO Mike Rosenbaum described this as a “once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to reimagine our industry.” Sitting among more than 3,500 insurance professionals, I feel energized and motivated. This is a new chapter for all of us in the Guidewire community. This moment was hard-earned after years spent building Guidewire Cloud and helping our on-premise customers migrate, making upgrades a thing of the past.

Now, we have the chance to improve the value we bring to this noble industry at a scale never before seen. Moments like this remind me why we do what we do. How exciting is that!

A Bold Vision for a Once-in-a-Lifetime Transformation

This morning, we shared an inspiring picture of P&C’s future – one where Intelligent Insurance becomes the industry standard. We unveiled several innovations that show how quickly that future is taking shape:

  • NEW - PricingCenter is a unified pricing and rating application that accelerates pricing and product innovation for insurers.
  • NEW - UnderwritingCenter is an intelligent and flexible underwriting application built for faster, expert decisions, from the first submission to the final bind.
  • NEW - GenAI Services are the AI-powered capabilities and context that will power a new generation of intelligent insurance agents and assistants.

We also announced Guidewire’s intent to acquire ProNavigator, a software company that provides an AI-powered knowledge management platform built specifically for P&C insurance.

What makes this so exciting is the problem ProNavigator solves: every insurer runs on an immense base of unstructured content – manuals, guidelines, forms, and institutional knowledge. ProNavigator turns this information into an intelligent, secure asset, delivering precise, context-aware insights within claims, underwriting, and distribution workflows to help professionals work faster and deliver more personalized service.

It’s incredibly rewarding to have found a company like ProNavigator, a team that shares our passion for accelerating Intelligent Insurance. Their journey with Guidewire began as a member of our Insurtech Vanguards incubator program, and now they’re joining the Guidewire team. That journey says a lot. It shows how our ecosystem can surface partners who think the same way we do and are just as committed to helping insurers work smarter and serve their customers better.

AI for Everyone, Everywhere

Generative and Agentic AI mark a new milestone for P&C – technologies that unite scale and expertise like never before. They represent the foundation of intelligent insurance, and Guidewire is uniquely positioned to deliver them with the deep industry context that makes agentic intelligence truly valuable. For the first time, P&C is leading a technology adoption curve, and it’s fitting. Our industry runs on complex, unstructured data and constant collaboration across carriers and partners. Now, with AI that understands that context, insurers can turn complexity into clarity and lead the next wave of innovation.

One of the moments in the keynote that really stood out to me came from Chief Product Development Officer, Diego Devalle. He brought the vision of intelligent insurance to life by showing how the Guidewire Platform serves as its engine, built on a simple but powerful principle: AI Everywhere, for Everyone.

The idea is that every tool, every service, every application, and every person across the insurance lifecycle should be able to leverage AI natively – not as an add-on, but as a natural part of how work gets done.

Through GenAI Services and the new Agent Studio, developers can now build, train, and deploy custom AI agents across underwriting, claims, and development, using the large language models (LLMs) of their choice. These agents combine AI power with deep insurance-specific context to help teams move faster and work smarter. And our announcement that 50 new AI agents are planned across upcoming releases shows just how fast this innovation is accelerating.

Seeing it in action, it’s clear that “AI Everywhere, for Everyone” isn’t just a slogan – it’s becoming reality across the platform.

Intelligent Insurance in Action

One of my biggest takeaways from Connections was seeing how intelligent insurance is no longer an idea. It’s happening right now. This shift from disconnected systems to connected intelligence is bringing together data, workflows, and expertise across the entire insurance lifecycle. By embedding AI into the core of operations, every team can now work together on a single, responsive platform. Our demo made that real, showing how Guidewire’s latest capabilities will better insurance outcomes and help our customers drive growth, innovation, and agility across the insurance lifecycle.

  • Smarter Product Definition
Advanced Product Designer (APD) keeps every application in sync through automated APIs, bridging business and IT collaboration around product definition. The latest updates make it even easier for teams to work together and adapt products quickly, a huge leap in agility.
  • Agile Pricing and Rating
PricingCenter turns what was once a complex, disconnected process into a seamless, intelligent workflow. It brings actuaries and IT together in a single space for pricing and rating, accelerating time to market and unlocking profitable growth. It gives pricing teams the precision they need, while IT gains the scalability to deploy changes in minutes.
  • Differentiated Digital Experiences
New Jutro templates are making it faster than ever to deliver standout digital experiences. With Jutro Studio, a visual, codeless, live-editing interface built into the platform, teams can design, customize, and deploy experiences instantly – no waiting, no handoffs. It’s flexibility and speed in action.
  • Smarter Underwriting
UnderwritingCenter is redefining underwriting through intuitive, agentic intelligence. It streamlines the entire underwriting process from submission intake to triage and risk selection through binding, combining LLM-powered assistants with smart workflow automation to help underwriters manage submissions and select the right risks.
  • Smarter Claims
ClaimCenter now includes Claims Intel, an advanced AI/ML capability built on Guidewire’s unique Industry Intel dataset, the most comprehensive dataset in P&C, representing an incredible $275B in DWP. Insurers using these predictive models are already seeing measurable improvements, up to 52 basis points in Auto Bodily Injury and Collision, and 27 basis points in Workers’ Compensation. That’s real, data-driven impact.
  • Accelerating Guidewire Cloud Migrations with APD at the Core
We’re helping our on-premises customers move to Guidewire Cloud faster and with less effort. Recent enhancements streamline the upgrade process, significantly reducing timelines and complexity. Teams can now sync their InsuranceSuite 10 codebase to Guidewire Cloud Platform and use GenAI agents to automate much of the work. APD is a key part of this journey – converting existing products to APD is the first step toward a smoother, more modern migration. And to make the path clear, we provide a detailed upgrade report so teams know exactly what to expect at every stage.

Building the Future Together

We closed the keynote with a call to adventure – to imagine what’s possible and to take the next step forward together. That moment captured the spirit of our Connections conference. It wasn’t just motivating; it was a reminder that we’re building this future collectively and that each of us has a role to play in shaping it.

Together with our customers, partners, and developer community, Guidewire is shaping a complete, connected, and intelligent insurance lifecycle. A new chapter for our industry is underway. Welcome to the era of Intelligent Insurance.

I can’t wait to see where this adventure takes us next.
