Connections, Guidewire’s annual customer conference, brings Guidewire customers face-to-face with partners and peers to learn, network, and discover fresh insights that will steer your business toward success.

What do you remember most about last year’s Connections? Was it Mike Rosenbaum and his team’s vision for the future of Guidewire’s innovation? Perhaps it was listening to stories from the industry? Or maybe you had a fantastic time at Drai’s during the Customer Appreciation Party and can’t wait to get your groove on this year! 😊

I’m happy to share that we have all of that and MORE at this year’s Connections. My name is Brian Desmond and I serve as Chief Marketing Officer at Guidewire. Every year we strive to put on the best Connections to date and this year is no exception. Here are five unexpected things you can expect at this year’s user conference.

  1. Two Days of Keynotes. This year, we wanted to maximize your opportunities for networking. The keynotes and breakout sessions are taking place on Monday, October 24, and Tuesday, October 25. The final day of the conference, Wednesday, October 26, is reserved for customer engagement sessions: Customer Advisories (CAs) and Customer Influence Councils (CICs), as well as exclusive demos from our certified partners in the Ecosystem Demo Theater. We’re making Connections history with the number of demos planned for our theater. You won’t want to miss it! Visit connections.guidewire.com to see the full agenda.

  2. New Developer Session Category. Previously we’ve offered only two session categories: Business and Technical. This year we’ve introduced a third category, highlighting content specific to our developer audience. Here are just a few examples of session content dedicated to developers:

    1. Learn to remove production complexity in a Guidewire demo dedicated to the insurance product development lifecycle

    2. Uncover how cloud API endpoints can increase development speed at scale

    3. Discover the latest self-service capabilities available in Guidewire Cloud Platform (GWCP) and how they will increase operational efficiency

    4. Hear from our customer, Farm Bureau Insurance of Michigan, about using Guidewire solutions to efficiently solve business problems

  3. Guidewire Demos. If you’re eager to see Guidewire solutions in action, look no further than our Guidewire demo series happening daily in the Ecosystem Demo Theater during each breakout session timeslot. Visit connections.guidewire.com to see the demo schedule.

  4. Insurtech Vanguards. In 2021, Guidewire piloted the exciting, ever-growing Insurtech Vanguard program, which is a new initiative to help insurers learn about several up-and-coming insurtechs and how to leverage their solutions. At this year’s Connections, you get to meet them face-to-face in the Partner Pavilion – now packed with more sponsors than ever! Check out the Partner Pavilion to meet with members of the Insurtech Vanguard program: Acclaim, Attestiv, Bindable, Charlee.ai, Clearspeed, Coherent, Hosta A.I., Indico Data, Instabase, Makusafe, Quantexa, and Roost.

  5. 80s Neon Carnival. We can’t share Connections updates without unveiling this year’s party theme. Think Netflix’s Stranger Things mixed with retro nostalgia. Come dressed as your favorite 80s character – or in fun retro gear – and dance the night away to the 80s. We’ll award prizes for the best costumes. This will be our most colorful and exciting theme to date!

I look forward to welcoming you to Connections, October 23–26, 2022 at the ARIA Resort in Las Vegas. Register now to take advantage of the Early Bird rate, which expires on September 29.
