Connections, the annual Guidewire user conference, brings together P&C’s largest community of esteemed insurers, product experts, and valued partners for three powerful days of fantastic speakers, networking, and fun. We expect more than 3,000 professionals to gather on November 12-15 in Nashville, Tennessee – the famous Music City – to experience the Power of Community – our 2023 event theme.

We’re accepting submissions for potential session presenters now through May 1, 2023. Here are practical tips to help you define and document your session topic and increase your chances of being featured as a speaker at Connections. Seven hot topics for 2023:

  1. Implementation Best Practices: Dive deep into specific aspects around implementing a Guidewire product or production system on Guidewire Cloud Platform (GWCP).

  2. Customer Success Stories: Show how you or your customers are innovating, leveraging data, and making business or operational improvements with Guidewire Cloud platforms and solutions.

  3. Thought Leadership: Dig into a new or evolving topic (i.e., innovation and disruption, diversity, market dynamics, etc.) that is having – or will have – a significant impact on P&C insurance.

  4. Technical Demonstrations: Give an in-depth technical demonstration of a product feature or procedure offered as a how-to session.

  5. Strategic Technical Sessions: Help technical attendees dig into development, infrastructure or other high-level strategic details of your Guidewire Cloud migration.

  6. Integration Framework: Share direct experience with Integration Gateway, AppEvents, or cloud APIs, and their usage for integration.

  7. Product Definition and Lifecycle Management: Share your experience with Advanced Product Designer (APD) and associated services related to the definition and management of insurance products on Guidewire Cloud Platform (GWCP).

Three tips for a great Connections submission:

  1. Tell a compelling story: What problem does your topic solve? What is the solution? What pain points are resolved with this solution? How does it benefit the hero of your story?

  2. Know your audience: Reflect on the desired impact of your topic on the audience – what do you want them to think, feel, and understand?

  3. Think depth versus breadth: Drill down on one specific topic versus trying to cover multiple ideas.
