3. How Do I Build Platform Skills?

After getting a good baseline of learning about product features and implementation considerations, you’ll move on to our platform curriculum and earn your first certification — Guidewire Certified Associate!

This learning phase is critical for developers to support the health of Guidewire products. These courses enhance skills with platform-level functionality and best practices to empower you to build cloud-ready, scalable, future-proofed solutions.

The 5-day InsuranceSuite Developer Fundamentals course provides essential information on the key platform capabilities for InsuranceSuite. The course also covers best practices when developing on Guidewire Cloud.

Check out the Developer Fundamentals FAQ for more details.

4. How Do I Deepen Expertise for My Role?

Enhance the value of your Guidewire investment by earning a certification. Individuals with a Guidewire certification can translate practical needs into sustainable outcomes using Guidewire solutions. Effective with the Palisades release, there will be two Guidewire Cloud-Ready Paths for new learners: Associate and Ace. The previous certification paths for Specialist and Professional will no longer be offered. Also, Olos is the final release to update an existing Specialist Certification or Professional Certification. Use the links below for more information.

This marks Guidewire’s move towards a more streamlined, valuable, and consistent certification framework. Only one Associate Exam and one updated Ace Exam will be required going forward; eliminating the need for the prior Specialist and Professional prerequisites. Also for Self-Managed Paths, the Specialist and Professional designations will stop being issued to new learners post-Palisades. It is important to understand that no prior certifications will be revoked or deleted from your learning history. For more information, consult the White Paper and the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) for comprehensive details on how these changes impact you.
