Recently, I had the pleasure of co-presenting at the Guidewire Insurtech Innovators webinar “Making Insurance Convenient” with Ujjval Patel (Director of Solutions Consulting at Hi Marley) and Bill Clausen (EVP of Marketing and Business Development at Prelude Software). The common theme delivered by all three presenters was simple… or rather, “Make it simple!”
Property claims do not have to be complicated. From eFNOL to claim settlement, there are tried-and-true digital tools that simplify the customer experience, reduce costs, speed up cycle time, and, most importantly, improve customer satisfaction. In other words, these solutions help make insurance convenient.
A bit about us: Plnar is an insurtech software provider that is transforming the insurance claims process by enabling contactless inspections for interior property claims for significantly better customer experiences, shorter cycle times, and lower costs.
Since 2012, Plnar’s patented technology platform has given desk adjusters the power to generate fully realized 2D and 3D models of interior spaces from digital photos and streamline the claims process for quicker, more efficient settlement. We’ve developed a solution for insurers that combines intuitive AI (artificial intelligence) and AR (augmented reality) technology while leveraging the same technology that’s in every household — smartphones.
Our platform streamlines the interior property claims process for adjusters and claimants alike by enabling a self-service, digital claims process. With Plnar technology, anyone with a smartphone can document interior property and damage to put desk adjusters virtually into interior spaces and shorten cycle times. Our goal? Simplify the process and make it convenient for the policyholder.
Plnar powers virtual claims by providing simplified data capture, enabling anyone with a smartphone to document interior property damage — putting the desk adjuster virtually in the space. The Plnar app guides users through simple, standardized steps and procedures to capture photos.
In less than three minutes per room, policyholders, adjusters, and third-party providers can document everything needed for Plnar to generate complete data sets and measurement reports. Plnar’s patented SmartPix technology then transforms any of the captured photos into a fully measurable, interactive 3D model.
Moreover, our solution is for every interior property claim. Low-severity claims such as broken windows and doors can be easily documented by the policyholder in Guidewire ClaimCenter in less than three minutes with the Plnar Snap Add-on for Virtual Claims.
There’s no need to send a field adjuster to the loss site, which can lead to scheduling issues, travel expenses, and more. Simply send the insured a text message directly from ClaimCenter (or eFNOL, Xactimate, or CoreLogic) and you’ll receive a full photo report immediately after the project is submitted.
You’ll also benefit in total losses because adjusters can capture the conditions of the loss site immediately, thereby freezing the loss.
For mid-severity claims, Snap is just as easy to use for the policyholder, field tech, water mitigation specialist, or any other third-party provider. With the ClaimCenter add-on, a Snap user can capture everything needed for estimating — still in less than three minutes per room.
Once the project is submitted, the magic happens behind the scenes when the portal converts the images into fully measured, accurate 2D sketches and 3D models. The portal is the adjuster’s workspace, where rooms can be viewed and photos can be measured using our SmartPix technology.
Plnar is not only for every claim. It’s also for every system and every insurer. Our integrations with Guidewire, CoreLogic, and Xactimate, as well as our easy-to-use API, make it easy for Plnar to integrate with your claims system.
And because our app is simple, anyone who can take pictures with a smartphone can use Plnar. Policyholders, field adjusters, desk adjusters, gig workers, first responders — truly anyone can capture everything necessary to estimate and size an interior property claim.
