Guidewire Gives Back

The GGB program is centered around global employee engagement and community impact and carried out through various volunteer initiatives as well as corporate and employee charitable donations. Our GGB strategy, programs, and collaborative partnerships reflect employees’ passions and embody both our corporate mission and our customers’ purpose.

Our Core Areas of Focus

Our GGB core areas of focus, education and communities in crisis, were developed in partnership with both employees and customers in the P&C insurance industry. We believe our employee engagement and social impact programs, including hands-on and skills based volunteering, charitable giving, and thought leadership initiatives, make a difference across our core focus areas and in the communities where we live and work in addition to enhancing our competitiveness and long-term business prospects.

Community and Collaboration

Our GGB program continues to expand, deepening our relationship with customers, employees, and communities. For example, in Canada, we partnered with Wawanesa Insurance and Definity Financial at the SOARING conference to educate Indigenous high school students on the intersection of technology and insurance. This joint partnership reflects our shared commitment to positively shaping the future of the insurance and insurtech industries.

Community impact is a core part of Guidewire’s culture and as a result, we have increasingly integrated volunteer opportunities into major corporate events and employee gatherings. Recently at our largest in-person volunteer event to date, near our San Mateo, California headquarters, more than 200 employees assembled supply kits for local schools.

We have also expanded our ElevatED by Guidewire program, which supports scholarships and mentorship programs, primarily with a STEM focus, for talented students from underserved communities. We commenced our program in India by partnering with the Foundation for Excellence to stand up a four-year engineering scholarship fund that is enabling 51 young women to attain a university degree in a STEM field. This multi-year program also includes training, a mentorship initiative, as well as the possibility of internship opportunities with Guidewire. ElevatED by Guidewire also continued to support students in our long-standing programs in Dublin, Ireland in partnership with the Trinity Access Programs and in the U.S. through the American Indian College Fund.

Measuring Our Impact

We continued to emphasize and encourage volunteer hours, donations, and customer partnership with our GGB events, achieving the following in our most recent fiscal year:

Measuring Our Impact

Participation in GGB Increased

Overall employee participation continues to increase as a result of a variety of hands-on and skills-based volunteer events available to employees, the expansion of the volunteering efforts in various global offices, and the continuation of our long-standing GGB employee benefits. The latter includes the provision of a charitable donation-management account with the equivalent of a $25 ‘donation reward’ to new hires; the continuation of donation rewards for service anniversaries and recognition, or ‘Guidewire ‘Cheers’; the provision of three (equivalent to 24 hours) volunteer time off days annually; the provision of a $25 donation reward for each volunteer hour (up to 24 hours annually) for employees to donate to a charity of their choice; and the matching of employee charitable donations of up to $1,000 annually.

Employee Volunteerism Rose

Overall employee volunteer participation rose nearly four percent in our most recent recording period. Our hands-on and skills-based volunteer opportunities spanned intern, customer partnership, ERG and team focused events. We also met our goal to run ten team-based events across our global offices and conduct six customer partnership events.

Our Impact with Nonprofits

GGB continues to support nonprofits working across our core focus areas as well as nonprofits working in other areas that our employees care deeply about. In fiscal year 2025, Guidewire and its employees jointly contributed a total of just over $1.3 million to global nonprofits. Our GGB Program also engaged with more than 1,507 nonprofits, an increase of 19% compared to fiscal year 2024. We will continue our strategy of focusing our corporate donations and organized volunteer engagements on initiatives that we believe will produce the most impact.

Looking Forward

We plan to continue to work with our customers to grow our long-term nonprofit partnerships and expand our employee volunteer efforts by integrating them into current events along with creating targeted ones. We believe our hands-on and skills-based volunteer opportunities and strategic customer partnerships will positively impact our communities, give employees new opportunities to develop and apply their skills, build relationships, and support greater innovation across our industry.
